Di-Rect is a Dutch band with kinda boysband image, having a couple of cool songs nevertheless. Heard them first with this one on a trip to Hoofddorp, a town I love very much, adding up to my attitude to this song.

Offspring – Dirty Magic

This song made me into Offspring and punk rock generally back in 1996. Time to pay back I guess. Didn’t catch the pitch in some moments, but it’s a one-take record, just like a punk record should be.

Anastasia Prihodko – Tri Zimy (Three Winters) (originally by Taisia Povaliy)

A re-cover of Anastasia Prihodko’s cover of a Taisia Povaliy’s song. Anastasia Prihodko is a participant of the Russian “Fabrika 7″ show (Russian analogue of the “American Idol”). She has the greatest voice in the show, and this song is just amazing in its Russian-ness.

Arcady Severny – Gospoda Oficery

This is the song that gives me goosebumps each time I perform it. Definitely my favourite. Though not the best performance this time.

The song is about the doom fate of the officers of the white army during the Russian Civil War.
